Frome, United Kingdom Aster Group Full time

Have you been looking for an opportunity to join an organisation and a team that will mean you are never bored, and every day is different? If the answer is yes, then keep reading.

As a Neighbourhood Assistant you’ll be supporting the Somerset based Neighbourhood team with the delivery of frontline customer services. You’ll be committed to delivering excellent customer service, understanding that you’ll be measured against the standards and values set across the organisation.

There are days when you will be arranging visits, inputting data, processing tenancy changes and possibly on occasion travelling in our communities to complete inspections and undertake home visits. You will be taking ownerships of processes such as Mutual Exchanges, liaising with customers and completing all the relevant paperwork.

You will also often be the first person that our customers speak to, so will have to think on your feet. This role isn’t just an admin role, this opportunity will allow you to develop your skills and could lead to a long career in social housing.

The role is flexible, and you’ll be able to work from home or the office, whichever suits you, however there will be times that you will need to be in the office or our communities, so being able to travel in our operating region is important.

**About you**

You’re going to find that this role will draw on all your admin skills. You’ll need to be a confident IT user with experience using Microsoft Office packages. You’ll be happy to create strong working relationships within the team and wider business.

Being able to manage your time and workload will be a natural skill and ensuring a job is seen through to the end will be important to you.

You’ll be organised, flexible in your approach and will have excellent written and verbal skills.

Your willingness to learn will mean that you won’t need to have worked in a housing environment in the past, although this could be beneficial. You’ll be trained by your team, and they will be happy to share their knowledge with you.

This is a varied and interesting role and will give you great insight into working in housing.

A valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes is essential for this role.

**What’s in it for me**

- A focus on colleague wellbeing - workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, virtual GP services, mental health training and a health cash plan for all
- We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
- Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance

- Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
