**About the Role**:
Reporting into the NPD Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating all development activities relating to projects directed by NPD Manager. This involves coordinating with suppliers, other departments in the business and customers to ensure that requirements are met, and our products can be successfully manufactured in the factory.

Duties of the NPD Technologist role will include:

- Assisting the Senior NPD Technologist in the creation of new products from initial concept through to launch on a kitchen scale, including formulation and preparation of new recipes.
- Ensuring all aspects of the process, HACCP and QMS system can produce safe, legal, and quality food products.
- Ensuring all products are produced in accordance with the customer, company, and legal specifications.
- Ensuring new products are developed and launched ensuring safe, legal, and quality products.
- Supporting with factory trials.
- Supporting with customer presentations and communications.
- Completing all NPD related administration tasks.
- Ensuring adequate levels of stock are maintained.
- Responsibility for external / internal collection / purchase of stock.
- Sample packaging and dispatch.
- Maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Interacting with customers and NPD contacts to grow accounts.
- Documenting all recipes and procedures.

We are seeking someone with an established background in NPD or Food Science with the passion and organisational skills to provide excellent support to the team.

**About You**:
To excel in this NPD Technologist role, you will need to demonstrate:

- A recent graduate in Food Science or similar or somebody with prior experience of working in a Process, NPD, or Technical role.
- Proficiency in Technical or Process related duties
- Excellent communication skills, able to work closely with colleagues at all levels and develop strong relationships with production/operational teams.
- A team player, keen to help and support other colleagues in the NPD team to ensure objectives and targets are met.
- Proactive in approach, able to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
