This placement is within the Property Services team, who are responsible for investment, management and maintenance on the Council’s substantial land and property portfolio. The team encompasses a number of property disciplines including Commercial Practice; Planning and Development; Building Surveying; Quantity Surveying; and Project Management.

As well as significant day-to-day asset and estate management work, we are also involved with a variety of exciting, high-profile projects including: the creation of new public sector hubs; commercial development of gateway site; town centre regeneration and place shaping; land assembly for residential development; and: overall delivery of the Council’s Investing in Growth Agenda through property investment and development in both commercial and residential sectors.

This placement is a varied one, giving the opportunity to be involved in the work of the Strategic Property and Estates areas of the team. In terms of specific tasks these will include undertaking development and investment appraisals; involvement with transactional and landlord and tenant work; preparing presentations; and undertaking research. Full support by a dedicated supervisor, as well as the rest of the team who all work closely together.
