StokeonTrent, United Kingdom University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust Full time

Bariatric Dietitian Band 5/6 (depending on experience).

Are you ready to graduate and interested in Bariatric Surgery? Or are you already working as a dietitian and looking for a change?

The Royal Stoke University Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic dietitian to work with patients as they move through our well established bariatric surgery pathway. This is an opportunity to see patient’s lives change for the better as they lose weight, experience improvements in co-morbidities, physical ability and self-confidence. We follow our patients
through the pathway from their first appointment meeting the team, preparation preoperatively, immediately post-operatively and then for 2 years after surgery to ensure that nutritional status is optimised and maintained. The post is mainly clinic based - both in clinics alongside other members of the bariatric team and in our own dietetic clinics. We run
a mixture of face-to-face, video and telephone clinics. We also see our patients on the ward post-operatively and if they are re-admitted post-operatively.

The post will be based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke on Trent with additional cover at County Hospital in Stafford. There may be an opportunity for some remote working within the job plan. The successful applicant will be working as an integral and well respected part of the multidisciplinary team and will work closely with a team of 3 dietitians, a Dietetic Assistant and a wider acute team of over 40 dietitians.

Band 6.

We are a large, dynamic teaching hospital with dietitians working in a wide range of specialist areas, so there would also be the potential of sampling different dietetic specialities within our department as part of your CPD.

1 WTE available, but part time working and job sharing would be considered.
