**AJ Chambers is working on an incredibly exciting fully remote position for a growing accountancy practice specialising in Tech clients. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their friendly team.**

My client are an innovative Chartered Accountancy firm based in London, focused on providing high-quality accounting and tax services to clients in the technology sector. As a remote team with employees in the UK and abroad, they offer full flexibility andthe opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals.

Their team is dynamic, professional, and easy to work with. They have an interesting portfolio of innovative and high-growth clients in the technology sector, and occasional travel to London may be required for team and client meetings. You will have anassistant accountant reporting directly to you.

**What will you be doing?**

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of approximately 40 clients. To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter who is able to manage your own workload, work to tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. You shouldbe comfortable using accounting and tax software such as Taxfiler and CCH, as well as cloud accounting software like Xero and Dext.
- Preparation of accounts using Taxfiler, Xero tax and CCH
- Preparation of corporation tax returns, including those with R&D claims
- Reviewing the bookkeeping done on Xero and Dext by our team and helping out where necessary
- Liaising with and resolving queries with clients.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns and management accounts.

**What will you need?**
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role,
- Experience of working within an accounting practice.
- A confident and positive attitude and professional confidence when dealing with clients.
- The confidence to admit when you don’t know the answer and also the drive to find and check it.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Experience of using accounts/tax software such as Taxfiler and CCH, as well as cloud accounting software Xero and Dext.
- Ability to work closely with the partners and within a small team.
