Timeplan Education are working with an independent special needs school in Totnes that is dedicated to providing tailored education to pupils between the ages of 8 and 16 with a range of Special Educational Needs, including SEMH needs, ASD), and ADHD. The school believe in valuing each individual's unique abilities and challenges, and they are committed to providing a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring in English or maths to pupils with SEN needs.
- Teach small groups of no more than 4 pupils, tailoring lessons to their abilities and needs.
- Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised education plans.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

**Requirements**:

- Experience tutoring or teaching English, science or maths to children or young people with SEN needs is essential.
- Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Passion for working with pupils with diverse needs and abilities.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time depending on availability.

**Working Hours**:are between 8.45am and 4.30pm, to be agreed upon with the school

**Salary**: is competitive within the sector and will be determined based on experience.
