Assistant Greenkeeper

Overview:
Kingsthorpe Golf Club, Northampton, highly regarded and founded in 1908, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Greenkeeper.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Head Greenkeeper and team with the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course, driving range, and surrounding areas.
- Participate in all aspects of course maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and irrigation.
- Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment used in golf course maintenance.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of turf management programs, including fertilization, pest control, and aerification.
- Contribute to golf course design and development, including bunker maintenance and renovation.
- Support the team in preparing the course for tournaments, events, and daily play.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Recognised qualifications in greenkeeping or turf management.
- Strong interest in golf course maintenance and a passion for the game of golf.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in turf management.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings, as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £500.00-£550.00 per week
