**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As an integral part of Supply Chain, the Prototype Procurement organisation provides a total procurement, warehousing and distribution service. This supports pre-volume builds and test and development activities for the Jaguar Land Rover business. The Prototype Procurement organisation currently have locations at Whitely, Gaydon, Castle Bromwich and DC7 Ryton.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:

- Lead a Team of Hourly / Staff in the receipt, location, picking and issuing of Prototype Material, to Plan.
- Support Material Supply and Programme Reviews with updated metrics / status, as required.
- Work with Suppliers - Internal and External - to develop working relationships that deliver to plan.
- Develop with key Customers, as required, appropriate contingency / recovery plans
- Prepare and Maintain accurate KPI Metrics supporting departmental objectives
- Maintain through standardisation 5S philosophy.
- Inventory Stock Control.
- Ensure Capacity/Resource Planning (Space, Headcount, Transport and MHE) identified and available, with meeting cadence.
- Performance Assessments for Staff - Mid and Full Year.
- People Training - Ensure Team skilled to deliver objectives
- Develop Workload Plans from the JLR Cycle Plan and communicate to all Stakeholders.
- Maintain ISO audit Levels in Prototype Stores
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

Essential:

- In this key role you’ll need strong credentials. You’ll employ your initiative, analytical skills and leadership abilities to keep our prototype stores operation operating at a world-class level.
- An experienced, agile and strong leader with a proven track record of successfully setting and achieving targets and leading teams with the motivation to deliver effective output and unity of purpose, while influencing and effectively managing the expectations of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrable supply chain and logistic operational experience - H&S, demand & resource forecasting and planning, network design and development, inventory & warehouse management and distribution.
- Project management experience in the Supply Chain and Logistics environment (desirable)
- Experience in Automotive or Manufacturing Industry (preferred)
- A strong relationship-builder of multiple stakeholders with the ability to engender unity of purpose to drive and achieve targets and objectives.
- A skilled communicator with proven people management skills possessing the ability to inspire and influence at all levels, including trade union working relations and a customer focussed approach.
- Highly self-motivated and assertive, able to demonstrate confident negotiation, communication and analytical skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure, while managing changing priorities.
- Possess strong IT skills, with the ability to present complex data to inform decision making.
