**Scope**

**UK and International Leisure Markets**
- The Leisure team comprises experienced industry professionals acting in a wide range of market sectors which include holiday parks, golf, sports stadia, marinas, inland surf centres, theme parks and visitor attractions, heritage leisure and more niche sectors such as day spas, caravan parks, zoos and aquariums._

The core work comprises lending security valuations but there is an increasing demand for consultancy, feasibility, security review and bespoke agency advice. The team principally covers the UK and Ireland, but also has engaged in a number of projects in EMEA and the US. We are recognised industry experts in many of our sectors and provide a valuable knowledge base to our clients, who range from high street lenders through to operators, private equity and family office investors through to local and central government.

We have a high volume of often complex work which demands a range of skills, not least technical valuation expertise but also market and sector research, data analysis and thought leadership.

The role is to work within the growing Specialist Leisure team to support them with existing clients and instructions.

**Responsibilities**

**Business Generation & Fee Income**
- Have the ability to increase the range and quantity of instructions via business generation to ensure development of the department as a whole
- Undertake such valuations as gained personally or are allocated by seniors in an accurate and professional manner.
- Understand and be proficient in the use of all the office technology employed in undertaking valuations.
- Attend events to promote the department and firm amongst clients and professional organisations.

**Client Care**
- Respond quickly to client enquiries.
- Foster the professional image of Knight Frank at all times.
- Be capable in the preparation of valuation reports.

**Professional Standards**
- Acquire and build a sound knowledge of UK and leisure property markets.
- Take a close interest in the property press and the national press with a view to building up a wide perspective of the property market and related activities.
- Adhere to all deadlines set for the completion of work.
- Maintain neat tidy orderly file records of valuations, including computer files at all times.
- Fully understand office records and procedures and be able to make good use of all the available information contained therein.
- Maintain confidentiality in respect of all work undertaken by the Department and to be aware of what is likely to be sensitive information.
- Abide by the principle of Continuing Professional Development as required by the RICS.

**Team**
- Become an integral member of the specialist leisure and our accompanying hotel property teams
- Liaise with members of other departments and get to know the individuals and their markets both for the purpose of obtaining information in support of valuations and also to look for opportunities for cross selling of business.

**Systems & IT competence**
- Excel - Intermediate/Advanced

**Professional experience and personal skills profile**

**_Qualifications/Education Required. _**
- Degree educated
- MRICS

**_Career Experience_**
- Previous valuation experience either pre or post qualification
- Broad UK property experience
- Registered under the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.

**_Particular Aptitudes/Skills Required_**
- Experience of the leisure property valuations and the applicable valuation methods.
- Knowledge of our specific sectors is not mandatory. We are willing to consider applicants with wider leisure sector valuation experience and provide suitable training.
- An understanding of profit and loss accounts and business forecasts.
- The capacity for accuracy, attention to detail, an orderly approach to work and numeracy.
- The ability to communicate facts clearly and in writing and to produce reports.
- The commitment and determination to investigate thoroughly and seek out information necessary for the accurate valuation of property.
- The ability to comprehend and make use of computers and information technology.
- Willingness and flexibility to work loyally as part of a team.
- The personality to engage with other professionals and general public alike in promoting the firm and building profile in a professional manner.
