Finance Officer/assistant

Reporting into the Service Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for the data entry and inputs on the financial system, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy when carrying out these duties. The role is a full-time and permanent opportunity basedin Hertford.

The client, a large and growing business in the property space and based in Hertford are recruiting for a Finance Officer/Assistant to join them for this full-time office based and permanent working opportunity and support the data entry into AP, AR fora portfolio of the business.
**Description**
- Allocate customer payments and resolve queries.
- Data entry of budgets onto accounting system.
- Raise Service Charge, Ground Rent & other regular or ad-hoc invoices as instructed and in accordance with the lease.
- Credit control.
- Calculate & set up Direct Debits for customers.
- Filing & keeping files in good order.
- Resolve internal and external queries.
- Export accounting data to excel & prepare audit packs containing the appropriate invoices & bank statements for auditors.
- Ebilling and Indexing
- Assist with & conduct bank reconciliations
- Data entry of Journals as instructed.
- Enter supplier invoices in accordance with procedures.
- Pay Suppliers in the accounting system and make payments on a regular basis
- Reconcile supplier statements and deal with queries.
- Monitor cash position and take action as required.
- Investigate discrepancies on control accounts e.g. Recharges
- Calculate and invoice utility, insurance and ad-hoc re-charges.
- Calculate & invoice the end of financial year balancing charge.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
