**Job Information**
Due to continued growth within the business we are seeking an Accounts Administration Assistant to join our accounts team to assist and support with the day to day tasks within the department - this is a permanent, full time role.
You will be joining friendly accounts team working in a busy environment and will be supporting across all aspects of the department.
Competitive salary
**The main duties of the role will be**:
- Taking payments from customers over telephone and in person
- Setting up new customer accounts in our accounting systems as well as our bespoke operational systems
- Sending invoices to customers
- Contacting suppliers to verify bank details
- Assisting with our Drivers weekly payroll (previous payroll experience not required)
- Daily reconciliation of petty cash float
- Other general administration/accounts duties to support team as required including filing
- Able to support and cover Purchase/Sales ledger when required (ie cover for annual leave)
**To be considered for this role you will ideally**:
- Have experience in a similar environment
- Be confident on the telephone with a polite telephone manor
- Be reasonably competent in using Excel
- Have good attention to detail
- Be a team player
**Salary**: £15,708.59-£23,192.44 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Northampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
