Are you an experienced Buyer looking for a new challenge within a rapidly expanding organisation?

We are looking to recruit a Technical Buyer who will report directly to the Head of Procurement and lead the sourcing and buying of components to support the launch of new products and to ensure continuity of supply for existing product ranges.

Brightwell Dispensers Group is a global designer and leading manufacturer of innovative soap, paper and chemical dispensers, dilution equipment and dosing systems. Based in the UK, we export to 85 countries worldwide, supported by a network of exclusive distributors. Our product ranges cover all hygiene environments such as away-from-home washrooms, healthcare and leisure facilities, on-premise and industrial laundries and professional kitchens.

Key areas of responsibility:

- Manage and support sourcing for new projects from concept through to completion, ensuring a high performing supply chain is in place to meet requirements
- Issuing RFQs, drawing releases, analysing quotes, and setting up new part replenishment profiles
- Identifying areas of improvement and savings opportunities; through continuous improvement activities, benchmarking, value engineering & optimising replenishment methods
- Analyse Bills of Material and Technical Drawings to understand key manufacturing requirements
- Support existing Buyers to resolve component shortages, manage obsolescence & replacement parts to ensure continuity of supply for existing product ranges.
- Help to establish alternative sources for existing components and support dual sourcing strategies
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of strategic stock consistent within inventory management guidelines.
- Review and maintain electronics component risk register and ensure risks are clearly communicated and mitigation actions are taken
- Provide procurement support for reshoring and reengineering projects to increase efficiencies and achieve cost savings.
- Help to facilitate tender projects and negotiations in key areas of spend to achieve best value for money for the organisation.
- Identifying and addressing risks, such as supplier capacity, lead time constraints, global shortages and factory shutdowns.
- Lead meetings with key supply partners to manage performance and maintain good vendor relationships
- Initiate and contribute to Continuous Improvement projects to support the company CI journey

You will be able to demonstrate:

- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrating strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.
- CIPS qualified or currently studying.
- The ability to manage complex sourcing projects within the set time frame.
- Experience of using ERP systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
