**Salary**: Qualified and Registered: SRS Band 6 £32,020.00 to £35,411.00 per annum
Graduate Unqualified: SRS Band 5 £27,852.00 to £31,099.00 per annum
**Hours**: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
**Start Date**: January 2023

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join The Enhanced Resource Base at Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust due to the reorganization of the post.
Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy is a mainstream Secondary School with an Enhanced Resource Base (ERB) supporting students with a vision impairment and/or physical disability to access mainstream education. The post plays a key role in supporting students to promote and develop their independence and life skills prior to attending further or higher education or training on leaving school. This forms part of the offer of the ERB to Derby City and Derbyshire pupils placed in the school. As part of this role, work would also be carried out at the Markeaton Primary School Enhanced Resource Base for children with Vision Impairment.
**About you**:
You will have experience in assessing mobility and habilitation needs, delivering teaching and training programs and monitoring progress. You will have the skills to further develop mobility and habilitation provision for CYP with visual impairment across the settings.
A thorough understanding of the impact of visual impairment is essential, along with high expectations of children and young people with visual impairment. You will work closely with families and settings, and work will be carried out in a range of environments, including homes, education settings and the wider community.? You will work with very young children through to teenagers.
This role will be part of the Enhanced Resource Base at Saint Benedict and contribute to the Resource based Provision in Derby that serves both Derby and Derbyshire children and young people.
