**Job Title: - Wood Machinist**

**Reporting to: - Wood Shop Team Lead**

**Overall purpose of the job**: Preparing timber for CNC machining.

**Main Activities / Tasks: -**
- Processing wood using a variety of machines including planer thicknessers, sanders and bandsaws.
- Following planned workflow to achieve production targets.

**Essential: -**
- Experience with woodworking machinery.
- The ability to balance their workload across multiple projects/channels.
- A strong team player.
- A methodical approach to tasks.
- Must be resilient and have a flexible approach to work with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Must be physically fit due to the physical nature of the job.

Education - GCSE Maths and English.

This position will be based at the Gordon Smith workshop in Rushden but will include some tasks at the Auden workshop in Higham Ferrers. 37.5 productive hours a week.
