**Job Title**: Senior Buyer (Engineering)

**Location**: Coalville, Leicestershire

**Hours of Work**: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

**Salary Range**: £38,000

CMS Cepcor is the leading aftermarket manufacturer and supplier of crusher spare parts, mining grade crusher liners and crusher service to mining, aggregate productions and associated crushing industries globally. A heavily export business supplying to over 100 countries.

We are seeking a Senior Buyer with engineering experience who is looking for a long-term career move with a growing and successful business.

**Overview of the Role**:
As part of the Purchasing Team, reporting to the Purchase Manager, carry out activities involved with procuring goods, including raising purchase orders, monitoring order progress, obtaining quotations and negotiating with suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Raise and issue purchase orders in response to Sales / Material requirements, ensuring all orders are acknowledged and administrated correctly.
- Monitor open orders and expedite as required, ensuring all delivery dates are accurate and orders are delivered on time, in full (OTIF).
- Build strong relationships with new and existing suppliers and negotiate to obtain the best quality, cost, and delivery (QCD).
- Issue requests for quotation (RFQ) and select best source of supply consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements (QCD). Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical stock parts.
- Manage changes in delivery dates, prices, shortages or over deliveries and quality issues and report these in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders within the business.
- Liaise closely with goods inwards to understand the status of orders to be booked in prior to expediting orders.

**Key Competencies, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required**

**Essential**
- A background in engineering and the ability to read engineering drawings
- Have the ability to prioritise your own workload, with attention to detail and able to multitask
- Understanding of procurement processes and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills (Excel and Word)
- Confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to understand and work to deadlines
- Must have a can-do attitude and able to work under own initiative
