Milne Craig is an established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants, with a progressive outlook. We are located in Paisley with good transport links to Glasgow and the West of Scotland, where the majority of our clients are located.

We are currently seeking a bright, enthusiastic School/College Leaver to join our audit and accountancy department as a trainee accountant.

Our trainees are given the opportunity to work on a variety of clients, ranging from the smallest of sole traders and charities to major family-owned companies and public sector organisations.

Whilst undertaking each assignment, you will cover a variety of tasks, allowing you to develop the skills necessary to become a successful accountant.

**The main duties will include**:

- Providing bookkeeping services to a variety of clients
- Assist with Financial Accounts preparation
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting senior accountants with analysis work.

**Required skills/ knowledge**:

- You will need the right to work in the UK from your start date.
- 4 Highers of grade B or above, two of which must be in English and Maths.
- Please note, this role is not suitable if you hold an undergraduate degree
