About the opportunity: We have an opportunity for a Kicks Lead Coach to join our growing Everton in the Community Team.

The Kicks lead coach will be responsible in working alongside the Kicks programme and targeted manager, and Youth/Football coordinators to plan, implement and deliver a programme of support across our Kicks sites, that is of the highest standard and meets the needs of our programme participants. The role will focus on delivery across sport and football, but will also include some youth and targeted support work to identified individuals and groups.

Our Community and Support Service, targets at risk and vulnerable young people aged 8-19 years old, At Kicks, our main aim is to give children, young people, and their families the support and opportunities to develop social skills, gain qualifications, improve health and well-being and have new experiences in a safe and friendly environment. We want to raise the aspirations of our children and young people, with a clear goal of them having a safe transition in to adulthood and reaching their full potential.

Other key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Kicks programme and targeted support manager, and youth/football coordinator(s) to ensure that young people are recruited, developed, engaged and monitored in line with Everton in the Community guidelines.- To plan, deliver and evaluate high quality football/sports sessions at venues across Merseyside- To support in the delivery of activities at our community sites across EITC and including youth zones- To build trusting and professional relationships and engage the young people in community sports/youth activities delivered within the area- Work closely with staff from partner organisations (including other football and sporting partners)- A flexible approach to working unsociable hours (evenings and weekends). For the role, there will be a requirement to deliver up to a maximum of 4 evening sessions per week, and across all Kicks youth sites

Who we are looking for: Essentially we are looking for an individual who has a real passion for the support and development of young people, and who is able to display patience, empathy and a non-judgemental attitude.

Other key Knowledge and Skills will include:
- Experience of working with young people who display challenging behaviour and have or are at risk of being criminally exploited- Experience of delivering in schools and educational establishments- Experience of working within a sport and youth setting- Emergency First Aid- An approachable, caring, friendly and helpful nature with a good personality- Be adaptable and able to think under pressure- Full UK Driving Licence- IT literate to a good level and competent- Certificate/Training in Safeguarding- Managing Challenging Behaviour training or similar- Knowledge of policy and procedures relating to youth work and sport- FA Level 2 Football

This role will be offered on a 12 month Fixed Term basis.
