- As an Accounting Technician, you will work as part of the Accounts team assisting on client accounting and tax compliance tasks. _
- Responsibilities _
- The role will involve all areas of practice work for a range of personal tax and business clients _
- Assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients to deliver a high quality service _
- Preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts, personal tax returns, company accounts and corporation tax returns _
- VAT advice and compliance services _
- Maintaining a high technical and professional standard. This would be facilitated through ongoing training and access to CPD programmes within the firm _
- Coach, train and develop junior staff to improve and further their knowledge_
- Opportunity to develop skills in key areas such as Xero and other Cloud based systems _
- Undertake wider practice activities, as required _
- Communicate with the team on any issues or findings _
- Maintain a professional working relationship with both clients and colleagues _
- Skills required _
- 2-3 years post AAT qualified _
- Experience of accounts preparation in an accountancy practice_
- Excellent attention to detail _
- The ability to manage own workload and prioritise to meet deadlines _
- Problem solver with investigative nature _
- IT Literate able to use MS Excel and Word _
