**Description of Department**:
Task Force forms part of Local Policing covering Firearms, Support Group, Dog Section, Mounted Branch and Roads Policing.

The Support Group provides support for all areas of the City of London Police and Pan London by provision of counter terrorism patrols, operational tasking deployments, football, security arrangements, Public Order planning, method of entry and public order duties. The Support Group also aid other specialist departments, which involves covert arrest teams and officers providing tactical advice and planning for major operations all over the country.

Officers attached to the Support Group will be trained in method of entry, Rapid entry, Taser & CBRN.

**Purpose of the Role**:
We train our officers to confidently handle the highest levels of public disorder, prison tactics, rapid entries, CBRN, foot-follows, building entry, Taser tactics, driving, and many other skills. Plus, we aim to excel in all that’s asked of us, and our can-do attitude typifies the Support Group.

Additional responsibilities across Taskforce.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in performance management and completing performance reports for internal and external scrutiny.

This role is considered a development role and the successful applicant will work closely with TF Superintendent and Chief Inspector.
- Support Non-armed task force C/I in policy and departmental risk assessment.
- Support in daily management reports - knowledge of Power BI, Power point and Excel would be desirable.
- Partnership working - other police force areas including Corporation of London, Transport for London, NPCC and College of Policing.
- Officers must be substantive Sergeants
- The Support Group is trained to Level 1 standard for public order deployment and applicants must be trained or willing to be trained to Level 2 prior to joining the unit.
- Officers must be PSU commander trained

**Desirable Criteria (If applicable)**:

- To be qualified as a standard, carrier or advanced driver, Public Order Level 1 trained, Public Order medic, Public Order Tactical Advisor or Evidence Gatherer, Method of Entry, Rapid Entry, CBRN, Ropes, Protestor Removal
