**Location: Hybrid (3 days from home and 2 days at the office, Freston Road, W10 6TR, additional office days may be required on occasion)**

**Salary: c. £26,000 per annum**

**Purpose of Role**

West London Zone is looking for an Impact Officer to join our Impact function. Sitting within the Strategy team, the Impact function is accountable for the design, monitoring, and evaluation of our evidence-based early intervention programme. As an organisation, we’re ambitious to go further in the next three years, expanding outside of London in September 2024, as well as continuing to drive impact for the young people we support in our existing zone in London.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, or someone with 1-2 years of experience, who is looking to build a career in a socially impactful organisation within the design, research, and evaluation space. The Impact Officer will undertake mission-critical programme design work as we carry out substantial changes to our early intervention programme - all with the support of a skilled and experienced wider team.

Day to day the Impact Officer will work on cross-team strategic projects, bridging the gap between research insights and actionable programme design solutions. This means consulting with our Delivery teams, collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data and translating insights into effective improvements to our programme activities, guidelines, and Salesforce CRM system. They will use a co-design approach which is iterative, inclusive and evidence based.

**Responsibilities**

Project coordination
- Support the Impact Manager with the day to day running of the programme design projects

Research and analysis
- Conduct desk-based research to inform programme design, ensuring our approaches and activities are backed by evidence and best practice
- Design and deliver qualitative field work with Delivery colleagues, including interviews, focus groups and observations to gather evidence and feedback
- Analyse quantitative data to inform design decisions, monitor project implementation and support the Monitoring and Evaluation team with their analysis, insights and evaluation activities

Design solutions and reporting
- Support the programme design process by translating research findings into prototypes; designing processes and guidelines for implementation and mapping out implications for our Salesforce CRM system
- Provide assistance to the Impact Manager with designing child-centred activities and resources
- Drafting internal and external reports, papers and presentations

**Person specification**

Essential
- Experience collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data, providing robust actionable insights
- Strong verbal and written communication, with excellent interpersonal and relational skills
- Good time management skills, with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and multitask
- High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Curious, self-starting and solutions focused
- A passion for supporting children and young people to get on track socially, emotionally and academically to thrive in adulthood

Desirable
- Experience using Salesforce CRM
- Knowledge of relevant research and design methods, such as interviews, ethnography, user-research, human-centred design, and/or impact evaluation
- Experience working with young people or an understanding of child development, education and/or social impact
