**About the role**

At First Rail, we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce. We are currently recruiting for an IT Applications Project Coordinator who will provide project support within the Applications team.

The role is varied but will include the creation, management, and ownership of the project reporting across IT Applications that span Finance, HR and Payroll, ensuring resources are allocated to the priorities of the business, resource planning for Projects and BAU activities and supplier liaison on resources. The role will include liaising with our clients, the FirstGroup business, to ensure project milestones are achieved.

**Your main responsibilities will be**

Project and Business as Usual Co-Ordination and Administration
- Ensure consistent delivery practice is applied across projects and present new ideas so that delivery is continually improved
- Tracking, analysing, reporting on, and forecasting project plans, Risks, Issues and metrics
- Analysing and documenting "as is" business processes. Evaluate the current state of business process and model the "to be" business processes.
- Define and document workflows to align with existing BAU operating models
- Producing Training and or assisting in the delivery of, where appropriate; including canvassing stakeholder views/opinions/workshop facilitation.
- Produce MI for stakeholders, including progress dashboards
- Meeting Management (Booking rooms/Zoom, taking minutes, tracking actions
- Leading team meetings including working group meetings and steering group meetings as appropriate.
- Engagement with stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, across the FirstGroup
- Project Status Reporting - Producing and/ or presenting Projects where relevant
- Collating all project information including schedules, assignments, data requests and project meetings
- Working with all project teams by tracking work, tasks and assignments
- Assisting the team with project meetings, scheduling follows up meetings and taking meeting notes

Driving Innovation
- Recommend, respond and liaise with the Group Applications Director, ensuring appropriate ideas are taken forward to suppliers to either build into future releases (including all relevant modules) or be paid for via the relevant capital authority
- Develop and manage processes for the effective delivery of future activity as required, including legislative and corporate changes.

**As a minimum you'll need to have**

Core skills & competencies
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills
- A self-starter who is results-driven with high levels of self-motivation, energy and initiative
- Proven ability in organising a complex workload, prioritising and managing rapidly changing demands and priorities
- Ability to focus on the delivery of outcomes, can work under pressure, respond quickly to changing circumstances and tight deadlines.

Expertise & knowledge
- A good understanding of stakeholder relationships and with a proven track record of effective communication including the development of communication materials
- Project Co-ordination skill
- Experience in the public transport finance sector would be an advantage

Technology
- Microsoft Office suite skills
