**Retail and Product Coordinator**

The role has responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of the in-store retail formats, as well as online and temporary / event spaces. Your principal duties will include overseeing staff and stock management, and associated administrative tasks.

Developing new products for sale, and working on their branding and associated promotional activities will be an important element of the position. A keen eye for store presentation and product positioning is desired, alongside an ambition to be part of exciting growth plans, to join us on a journey of helping build an important commercial operation and asset for a notable Charity.

Whilst the role will include direct retail interaction, on site, on a regular basis, at times it will be required to travel nationwide, as part of research and promotional activity, for existing and future product development.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

1 Working as part of the commercial team, an active role in selecting and developing products for sale, and partnering with other departments, to work on branding and promotional work require to both launch, and grow, various new and existing product ranges, across a multi channel format.

2 Stock ordering and stock management. Receiving stock deliveries and accurately processing stock and invoices. Keeping track of stock to ensure that the shop is able to meet demand and monitoring trends to maximise sales in line with seasonal buying patterns.

3 Delivering a seasonal and innovative display and product offering approach to the retail environments, including events in store and other locations from time to time.

4 Servicing customers, showing high standards of customer care at all times whilst providing a helpful and friendly service in order to maximise sales. Dealing politely with visitor comments and complaints, responding directly, or as appropriate, per the organisation’s procedure.

5 Handling cash transactions and using an EPOS till system, including handling credit/debit cards. Also responsible for the administration of the online order fulfilment.

6 Comfortable with regular reporting to line manager of each channels sales performance, profitability and stock holding data.

7 Working with management to recruit and train staff. Setting staff targets, tasks, motivating and reviewing their progress. Conducting performance reviews and appraisals.

8 Observing health and safety systems and procedures. You have a responsibility to work safely at all times and to report any potential hazards, faults or problems to appropriate person.

9 Keeping all work areas clean, tidy and in order.

10 Willingness to work shifts on weekends, evenings and during bank holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year

- Vocational qualifications such as C&G/NVQ in retail, management or visual merchandising - essential.
- Previous use of EPOS and ordering systems - essential.
- Several years’ experience of working in retail, ideally as assistant or cashier - essential.
- Experience of working in a customer facing / service role - essential.
- Experience in visual merchandising, design, sales techniques or marketing - essential.
- Ability to use IT and competency with most popular software packages or willingness to learn - essential.
- Financial skills and the ability to devise pricing structure and calculate profit margins - essential.

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Language**:

- Fluency in written and spoken Welsh - desirable. (preferred)
