**Background**

Hugh James Independent Financial Advisers are a department within Hugh James Solicitors. The clients that they work with include HNW, business owners, individual private clients, charities, trusts and Deputies. You will inherit a client bank and have access to regular leads from various internal and external sources, as well as building long term relationships with the various departments and solicitors within a top 100 law firm.

**The role**

Providing high quality investment, IHT and protection advice
- Retention of existing clients
- Conversion of referrals made to the IFA team from internal client departments (eg private client, corporate and serious injury)
- Developing client base via own business development activities and networking
- Travel to clients if appropriate and the business needs dictates

**Qualifications, skills and experience**

Fully qualified to Level 4 Diploma standard, desirable working towards Chartered status.
- Experience of looking after high net worth clients ideally with a strong understanding of trusts, taxation, and investment management.
- Interpersonal skills to assist with own business development and dealing with professional connections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in numeracy and literacy
- Resilience & motivation to improve knowledge
