**The role**

We are seeking a Client Care Assistant to join our Washington Clinic. This role will be supporting a team of Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
As a Client Care Assistant, you’ll use your excellent customer service skills to welcome and assist clients before, during and after every visit. Although you don’t need to have hands-on experience working with pets, a love of animals and their welfare is essential.
From handling busy telephone lines and arranging appointments to taking payments, entering test results and ensuring the consult rooms are fully stocked, you’ll enjoy a busy and varied front-of-house role. You’ll also take ownership of ensuring the reception and waiting areas look their best at all times.
Part time, 6 month fixed term contract, 26 hours a week

**Key accountabilities**
The duties of the Client Care Assistant include
- Prompt and efficient telephone answering
- Dealing with routine client queries
- Making appointments
- Taking payments
- Money handling and banking
**Skills and experience**
This position will best suit a proactive enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exceptional communication skills. You will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and priorities your work load whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.
Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.
**Branch**
A friendly clinic with a large and dedicated client base has been well established in Washington since 1985. It has great facilities including a large waiting room, two consult rooms, a theatre, x-ray, video endoscopy, and a separate cat and dog ward.
You will be working alongside our dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon and incredibly welcoming support staff in this fast-paced clinic. The Washington clinic has been accredited by the RCVS as a Small Animal General Practice, continuing to offer exceptional care to both our patients and clients.
