**The Company**

Brian Gow Roofing Supplies is a successful independent roofing supplies merchant with branches across Sussex and Kent and we are looking for a **full time Yard Operative** for our branch at **Lower Dicker, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 4EL.**

**Main Duties and responsibilities**

As a key member of the team, you will work alongside another Yard Operative to assist with the day to day running of the yard under the supervision of our Branch Manager.

Your role will include, but not limited to:

- Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised.
- Unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Loading of our vehicles.
- Sorting materials.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Self-motivated.
- A team player that can work both independently and as part of a team.
- A forklift licence would be desirable but not essential _(training will be provided after a probationary period)_

- Hours: 07.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday.

Please note, this is a manual job, and you will be required to work in all weather conditions.

The role is based at our Lower Dicker branch (BN27 4EL) and you will therefore need your own transport to reach the depot.

You may be required to work from our other locations with prior notice.

Full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.
