**We are recruiting for Press Brake Setter / Operator to join a busy manufacturer in BlacKpool.**

I am looking to recruit a Press Brake Operator working in a manufacturing company.

**Overall Job Purpose**:

- Working individually and on occasions as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
- Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production, quality and H&S issues.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE

**General Requirements**
- Previous experience of working in an engineering sheet metal production
- Regular quality checks
- Following internal processes
- Completing paperwork
- Understanding of basic IT

**Qualifications/Courses/Experience**:

- Previous experience obtained in a manufacturing environment
- Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
- Ideally with experience of Press brakes, Linishing, Spot weld and /or MIG or TIG weld and Lasers
- Understanding of Engineering drawings

**Essential Skills**:

- Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines and demands
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Operational Fault Finding and problem solving
- Work independently and part of a team.
- Manual dexterity
- Demonstrate commercial awareness
- Manage self, working/assisting colleagues obtaining their involvement and buy in
- Effective contribution

**Shifts**:

- Monday to Thursday 07.00 am to 4.30 pm
- Friday is overtime 1st2 hours paid at time and 3rd
- Anything over that is time and a half
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
