To maintain the master record tracking all deaths within the hospital as designated Tracker spreadsheet.
- To act as the bridge between the trust bereavement office and the medical examiners service.
- To assist the medical examiners team with the completion of the Medical Summary within the official timeframes of 3 working days.
- To liaise with clinical staff at their base to assist or initiate completion of required documentation within KPI targets.
- To assist the Bereavement Team, if required, with the completion of the Medical certificate Cause of death within official timeframes of 2 working days.
- To provide effective delivery of service and identity potential service enhancements or developments and planning of their effective implementation.
- Deal with telephone and general enquiries regarding update requests from families, Stockport Registrars, Coroner’s officers and Funeral directors.
- To deal with all administration procedures in accordance with official guidelines and written procedures, this includes dealing with doctors and consultants on a frequent basis.
- To attend medical wards, clinics and health records to collect patient case notes.
- To report/escalate any breaches in official timeframes and audit the spreadsheet to identify any issues with the flow of paperwork.
- To identify causes of delays within the system and work with relevant departments, service users and agencies to reduce the issues.

- If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
