Join the Cod Squad as a Trainee Plater
One of my team is off to Australia in October. So we’ve got until then to find & train his replacement.
- Tuesday-Sunday shifts available 5-9.30pm(ish).
- 1 to 3 shifts / week depending on what you’re after.
- After probation period I’ll put you on courses such as food hygiene level 2, allergen awareness course and health & safety amongst others if you haven’t done so already. All free of charge.
Main role: box up our quality fish & chips for customers offer and put on Salt / Vinegar / Lemon and bag up with a smile.
Secondary role: operate the till & serve customers and maintain a clean and stocked workspace.
Experience with food is a plus but training provided. You will start initially by shadowing whilst learning before getting stuck in yourself. Must have great communication & organisational skills, be glass half full & enthusiastic.
- Pay negotiable depending on experience which will be reviewed at 3 months, 6 months then yearly. We don’t do minimum wage because we want more than minimum effort, this is a skilled job. U18’s starting rate £9/hr. Over 18s pay dependent on experience starting on living wage in training. The quicker you learn the quicker your pay goes up.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £9.00-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.5 - 13.5 per week
