The Community Partnerships Service is about to undertake an exciting workforce review to ensure the service is better placed to support, enable and protect individuals and communities and is looking for someone to manage the Anti-Social Behaviour Team whilst this programme of work is taking place. You will manage the Community Safety Team and ensure the effective and efficient resolution to Anti-Social Behaviour cases and unauthorised encampments in Reading.

**About the role**

This post will have management responsibility for Anti-Social Behaviour Officers and will have dayd today oversight of the team’s response to anti-social behaviour cases and This includes anti-social behaviour, unauthorised encampments, victim and witness support, working in partnership with other officers, partners, service users, community groups and local people as appropriate.

Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage Anti-Social Behaviour Officers
- Provide support to staff dealing with customers facing challenging situations as a result of their responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate use of powers to tackle cases of unauthorised encampments
- Provide and develop a customer-based approach to the delivery of the service and ensure that intensive support is provided to victims of anti-social behaviour.
- Conduct regular effective case management monitoring and quality assurance of ASB cases.
- Liaise with local and national agencies to share information on good practice, policies and expertise.
- Attend the Housing Management Transfer Panel as a panel member
- Provide responses to elected member enquiries, manage FOIs and ensure complaints are dealt with appropriately
- Chair allocated case management groups to ensure effective partnership input and resolution to complex cases.
- Support the development and sustainability of a culture of delivering high quality services with a right first-time ethos
- Contribute to the Community Partnerships Service overall effective and efficient delivery of services

**About you**

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

- Experience of managing, motivating and developing a team and involving staff in effective management of change.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment and of team working.
- Experience of performance management and monitoring.
- Experience of partnership working within a multi-agency environment within the field of community safety.
- Practical experience of the management of unauthorised encampments & knowledge and understanding of the management traveller sites.
- Experience responding to wider community safety issues, including problem solving complex community safety related issues.
- Experience of working with elected members.
