**Contract**: Permanent, full-time

We are looking for two **permanent Laundry Assistants** to help run our sustainable laundry in Oxford and meet our commercial customers' laundry needs over the week.

Both roles are permanent full-time positions of 40 hours every week. The normal working days/hours are: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, from Sunday to Thursday (days off on Friday and Saturday) OR from Wednesday to Sunday (days off on Monday and Tuesday).

As a Laundry Assistant, you will help to keep our laundry - which we call lagoon - moving every day (or, in this case, night), by doing things like loading and unloading washing machines, feeding the roller ironer, hand finishing items on the ironing table or packing and invoicing outgoing orders on a laptop or smartphone.

**Your key responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to**:

- Ensuring Quality Control
- Collaborating with our Shift Manager and other Laundry Assistants on shift
- Maintaining effective communication with customers and our Customer Success team
- Promoting sustainability at every corner
- Recording data in an accurate and meticulous manner

This role has potential to progress into other positions within the company, dependant on capacity and performance.

**Key Relationships**:

- Shift Managers & Laundry Assistants - You will report to the Shift Manager on shift. They will be your first port of call for most things, from how we process certain items to how we dose our machines and track a customer's order.
- Production Manager - Your work, and the operations of the lagoon, will be overseen by our Production Manager.
- Delivery Riders & Delivery Drivers - You may also liaise with our logistics team about customer orders and deliveries.

**Requirements**:
**Key Qualities and Competencies**:
Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience is desirable but not essential - we will provide all the training you need to be successful in your role. This job involves using a steam iron to return garments to their original shape having been through a wet clean process. You may have worked in a traditional dry cleaners, or perhaps in a hotel or care setting, processing uniform or guest laundry.
