Cleaner for a Nursery

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy cleaner to help the nursery staff keep our environment clean and hygienic to a high standard. We are an independent nursery and have five nursery rooms set in 17 acres of beautiful woodland. We wish our cleaners to feel part of the team, we have a long standing cleaner who will work along side you to help get the jobs done. The task is ideally carried out from 5pm each weekday evening for 1.5 hours a night although flexible timing is possible with the option of the Friday evening clean being carried out over the weekend instead, or for the clean to be in the early mornings.

It is important to us that a thorough clean is carried out to a high standard to keep us all safe, in conjunction with the cleaning regime followed by nursery staff. Staff do some of the cleaning tasks as part of their usual routine every evening.

Your duties will include some of the following
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty bins and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as hallways and reception
- Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Adhere to company policies and regulations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in cleaning preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
