**The Company**:
An established housing association in the East Midlands, providing both generic and supported social housing services to vulnerable people across the region. This organisation are well-recognised within the market, with services being considered high qualityand enable true development to those in need.
**The Role**:

- The role is that of a Support Worker; this is a permanent vacancy in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
- This is a full-time role; 37.5 hours per week, with flexible shifts across a 7-day period. Rotas are always issued in advance and will offer a fair balance between employees personal schedules.
- Salary for this role ranges between £17,500.00 and £20,500.00, depending on experience.
- Based in a supported living service within Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottingham.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Support Workers will support the resident in developing self-sufficiency and promote their independence in preparation for independent living though an asset-based approach of delivery.
- You will act as nominated Support Worker for adults with learning disabilities, ASD and mental health issues.
- A Support Worker will contribute to the planning, deliver and evaluation of the service.
- Providing tenancy-related advice; tenancy sustainment, income maximisation and budgeting finances.
- Ensure that the resident receives the community services to which they are entitled including the maximisation of benefits and grants.
- Ensure that all accommodation agreements are completed and enforced according to the Associations policies.

**Required Skills**:

- Support Worker’s _Must_ be someone with a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- _E_xperience in supporting clients / service-users’ is _essential_.
- Proactive and able to use their own initiative to manage a caseload.
- The ability to support others in their finance management.
- Appropriate understanding and passion for relevant social and cultural issues.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Relevant training to housing or health and social care.
- Previous experience or knowledge of social/supported housing processes.
- Existing experience of the most up to date safeguarding legislation.
