General Radiography Deputy Lead - Permanent - London
Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a General Radiography Deputy Lead on a permanent basis to work for the UK's largest hospital group.
**Location**: London
**Employment Type**: Permanent, Full Time hours 37.5hrs (An On-call system is in place with staff covering weekdays and weekends)

**On a typical day you will**:
- Professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of own practice, working within national legislation, departmental and hospital wide policy, Code of Conduct and professional guidelines ensuring delivery of imaging services emulates "best practices"
- Assists the General Lead Radiographer in managing General Radiography staffing levels, skill mix and capacity; is proactive in recruitment and retention initiatives to ensure availability of staff.
- Along with the General Lead Radiographer, conducts recruitment, induction, performance management, disciplinary action of all staff, including agency staff, with guidance from line manager.
- Supports the General Lead Radiographer in the professional development of staff members with effective coaching, counselling and mentoring. Responsible for the planning and implementation of education and training programs.
**What will you need to succeed in this role?**
- Minimally a BSc (Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required
- Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration (essential)
- Trained to cannulate and administer contrast agents (essential)
- Certified Radiation Protection Supervisor (desired)
- Post graduate qualification in imaging (desired)
- Highly developed specialist Diagnostic Radiography knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience
- Significant post-qualification experience in Radiography
- Previous experience of supervision/management of clinical and non-clinical staff in General Radiography
- Relevant personal history of continuing professional development
- Demonstrable experience of setting up and developing new procedures and practices
- Previous experience in UK private healthcare sector is preferred
