**THE COMPANY**

My client specializes in the manufacturing of complex fabrication and precision machined components, including gas turbine engines. They serve customers around the world in commercial and military aviation, power generation, the marine industry, rotary wing, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Due to a significant increase in orders they need to recruit a number of Aerospace Fitters.

**THE JOB**

The Aerospace Fitters will be responsible for fitting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft engine components. Working hands-on, efficiently and to high quality standards, you will be working alongside and supporting other key business areas across the site.

The Aerospace Fitters essential duties and responsibilities under direct supervision will include:
1) List the primary job duties and responsibilities. (It is what the job does, not how it’s done).

2) Manually fit parts to required customer standards and aircraft standards, including inspection of braze joints.

3) Check components to verify conformity, using tooling and other measuring devices.

4) General maintenance of machinery, jigs and fixtures is required to ensure a clean, safe and healthy working environment.

5) Offer improvements to methods of inspection of product whilst developing best practice techniques.

6) Check parts for accurate measurements and finish pieces where necessary.

7) Share knowledge and experience and support coaching and mentoring to new employees and apprentices.

8) Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives across Shop Operations.

**ABOUT YOU**

The Aerospace Fitters will have:
1) The ability to understand, interpret and work to engineering drawings and to work to tight tolerances.

2) The ability to use measuring equipment and inspection fixtures to ensure component conformity to drawing requirements.

3) Strong communication skills.

4) Detail oriented.

5) Able to read, write, and speak in standard English.

6) Legally authorized to work in applicable country.

7) Ideally have a working knowledge of high temperature alloys

**THE OFFER**

The client offers the Aerospace Fitters a generous base salary of £29,000 plus shift allowance (£35,000), company pension, benefits, and overtime
