Property Paralegal

Looking to jump-start a Legal or Property career? This York based firm have a fantastic opportunity for a Property Paralegal.

You will contribute to the smooth running of the Property Team, assisting with secretarial duties for the Property Team when required. The job holder will work under the supervision of a partner.
- £20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday p.a.

**Your Day**

The main requirements of the job are to assist with property procedures, which may include:

- File opening
- Title checks
- Reports on title
- Searches (Local Authority / Land Registry)
- Preparation of sale and purchase contracts and Transfer Deeds
- Exchange and completion of contracts of sale and purchase
- Completion and submission of SDLT forms
- Registration of title
- File closing
- Day to day directions are received from the Head of the Property Department, Partners, Lawyers or direct from clients.
- Frequent contact with Partners, other Lawyers, other members of staff, clients and telephone callers dealing with the Property Team.

**Your skills and attributes**
- Practical property experience or other practical equivalent experience is desirable
- Team player
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise work
- Eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Confident communicating with internal, external contacts and stakeholders
