**The Role & Responsibilities**

The Treasury team has responsibility for managing cash, liquidity, funding and market risk for Shawbrook bank. On a day-to-day basis Treasury controls the Shawbrook’s flow of funds to ensure that there is sufficient cash to disburse loans and pay savingscustomers’ withdrawals.

We also invest the Bank’s surplus cash to ensure the best return within approved risk limits. Over a longer-term Treasury leads the Bank’s funding programmes to meet the Bank’s growth plans and ensure that it has sufficient liquid assets put aside to meetany eventuality. In addition, Treasury manages any foreign currency and interest rate risk exposures within approved limits by executing derivatives in the financial markets.

Treasury is seeking to develop a new wholesale funding programme in the form of Money Market Corporate Deposits. As Head of Money Market Corporate Deposits,
- Developing the business case and plan; the product offering
- The internal processes booking and executing the business plan
- The Head of Money Market Corporate Deposits will interact at senior levels within the bank and with external corporate clients; brokers; lawyers and banks
- This role offers a career platform for a self-motivated professional to progress quickly in a well-respected and dynamic bank
- This role will be working closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations and Business Divisions and will ensure exposure to senior management at a board level
- Lead the set-up of the Bank’s Money Market Corporate Deposit business
- Develop the business case and plan to start and grow Corporate Deposit funding base
- Lead the development of internal processes to ensure the Corporate Deposit business will operate in compliance with regulatory requirements, risk policies, and operational controls
- Develop the marketing and distribution strategy for the Corporate Deposit business
- Recruit a team to implement the business plan Ongoing
- Quickly build the Corporate Deposit business in line with the business plan
- Manage the Money Market Corporate Deposit team
- Manage the financial performance of the Corporate Deposit business. General
- Relationship and stakeholder management with Legal, Risk, Finance, Compliance and Audit
- Relationship and stakeholder management with external parties including brokers and corporate clients

**The Person**
- Education / Qualifications
- Good university degree
- Professional qualification ACT, ACA, CFA or similar
- Knowledge of MiFiD
- Knowledge of the wholesale deposit regulatory requirement
- Extensive experience of Money Market Deposits
- Experience of Corporate Deposit market
- Existing network of relationships with brokers and corporate treasuries.
- Technical / Specialist Knowledge & Skills Technical
- Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel, Word, Power-Point)
- Knowledge of reporting/consolidations packages such as Hyperion/TM1
- Bloomberg knowledge an advantage Personal Skills
