Carers

I am an elderly gentleman living at home with my wife in Peebles. I am looking for a couple of people

to join my small team of carers who help me with my general day-to-day living requirements - all my

visits are double-ups so you will be working alongside another one of my team during all visits.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**

**Morning, double-up (1 hour 15 minutes) - usually around 9am**
- Please come to assist me with getting up in the morning and supporting me to have a

wash/shower.
- Please then assist me with getting thoroughly dried and dressed.

**Afternoon, double-up (45 minutes) - usually around 1:30/2pm**
- Please come in to assist me with a safe transfer to the bathroom.
- Please allow me time to use the toilet and ensure I am cleaned and changed, if required.

**Evening, double-up (1 hour) - usually around 6:30pm**
- Please come in to assist me with a safe transfer to the bathroom.
- Please allow me time to use the toilet, if required.
- Please then help me with getting ready for bed, having a quick wash and into my nightwear.

**Personal attributes**
- Kind with a genuine caring nature.
- Must be reliable and have good timekeeping.
- Must be able to work a part of a team and be able to help out if cover is required.
- Patient to my needs and allow me the time required to complete as much as I can on my

own to promote my independence.

**Hours of work**
- Visits are Monday-Sunday. We already have a small team of carers in place so are looking for

people to fit in with them. Exact visit requirement can be discussed at interview.

**The terms**
- £11.52 per hour.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
