** Sales Consultant - Public Sector**

We have a **brand-new** opportunity available for a Sales Consultant. This is a specialist sales position responsible for growing new & existing business within NHS and Local Government frameworks, to support field teams with retaining account spend.

This will be accomplished through working as an integral part of the Public & Local sales team, maintaining industry and sector specific knowledge, working collaboratively in order to gain new incremental business and sharing your experience with the National Account Manager and Area Sales Manager colleagues to improve confidence and capability.

**Key Accountabilities;**
- Develop and execute targeted Public sales strategies to achieve regional and individual annual business goals, delivering profitable sales growth and penetration across the sectors.
- Proactively seek and qualify new business by building long term relationships with NHS Trusts, supply chain and local government to influence decision makers, shaping successful tenders through the Bid Team
- Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided
- Support execution of prioritised sales strategies through direct selling and engagement of customers and prospects at Sysco events (e.g. food shows, industry events)

Highly commercial, you’ll ideally have previous experience in account management or business development, driving growth and results, through the acquisition of new business. We require a strong understanding of the public sector, direct or in-direct experience.

Tenacious and resilient you’re a self-starter with the drive and determination to succeed and demonstrable experience of delivering against targets. You’ll also need to be confident with the adoption of new technology and new ways of working to improve the customer experience and optimise performance.
