**Job Purpose**

Sykes Seafood Limited is one of the UK’s leading importers and distributors of frozen, chilled, and ambient food products operating out of our network throughout the UK & Ireland.

Experienced Gate House Securityworking at our Head Office based in Warrington, ensuring the security of product, staff and premises are protected.

Shift pattern: Covering days, nights & weekends on a 4on 4off basis (0600-1800/1800-0600)

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, your duties will include (but not limited to):
**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Access Control to the property
- Regular internal and external patrols securing the area, keeping logs and reporting concerns and incidents
- Monitoring CCTV
- Protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
- Communicating effectively with the client.
- Ensure the safety of Staff and Visitors.
- Following procedures for various initiatives including fire presenting and traffic control.
- Guarding valuables in a secure area.
- Monitor access points - e.g., main/rear entrances, fire exits, secured ground floor windows
- Respond to all alarm activations
- Security tagging outbound vehicles
- Keeping log of all in/outbound vehicles

**Competencies**
- SIA accredited desirable
- Ability to work 4on, 4off shift pattern including nights and days
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to resolve problems quickly and with integrity
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict and remain calm under pressure
- Strong conflict management skills
- Attention to detail and excellent concentration skills
- Ability to understand technology systems used within the company (training will be provided)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
