**What will I be doing?**
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset - and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

- Being part of a busy and dedicated technical support team working closely with Planning Officers to efficiently deliver the processing of a variety of tasks requiring excellent organisational skills and a high standard of customer service.
- Accurately updating and maintaining all relevant information systems.
- Using experience and technical knowledge to case manage and resolve a wide range of service requests supported by current legislation and operating procedures.

**What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?**

- Are educated to A-level standard or have equivalent experience.
- Can demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Are a confident and proficient IT user familiar with database, financial and stock ordering systems and able work at speed accurately.
- Have knowledge of planning legislation.
- Are positive and flexible, able to cope with a variety of tasks and an ability to prioritise competing demands.
