We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Night Receptionist to join our bustling 86-bedroom City Centre Hotel team. The Night Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service during the overnight hours. This role requires proficiency in using Opera Property Management System (PMS) and a keen attention to detail to maintain smooth hotel operations during the night shift. The Night Receptionist will play a pivotal role in providing a warm welcome to late arrivals, assisting with guest enquiries, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.

Our hotel is affilaited with a global hotel chain, and branded hotel experience would be an advantage.

**Shifts**:11pm to 7am, 40 Hours per week

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Guest Service Excellence: Provide a friendly and professional welcome to guests arriving during the night shift, offering personalized assistance to make their stay comfortable and memorable.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently handle the check-in and check-out process for guests arriving late at night or departing early morning, ensuring accuracy of guest information and billing details using Opera PMS.
- Reservation Management: Use Opera PMS to manage reservations, allocate rooms, and ensure room availability based on guest preferences and special requests.
- Guest Enquiies: Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, offering suitable solutions to enhance their experience.
- Security and Safety: Monitor the premises and maintain a safe environment by following hotel security protocols and performing regular security checks.
- Payment Handling: Process guest payments, deposits, and credit card transactions accurately, and provide guests with detailed billing information.
- Night Audit: Perform nightly audit procedures to ensure accuracy of guest accounts, reconcile charges, and generate reports for the accounting department.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond effectively to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, and security incidents, while following established hotel procedures.
- Operational Support* Assist other hotel departments as needed during the night shift, including housekeeping, and maintenance coordination.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the day-shift staff to ensure a seamless transition of information and guest needs.
- Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of guest interactions, incidents, and activities during the night, and share relevant information with management.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent education required; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Night Receptionist, Front Desk Agent, or in a similar guest service role preferred.
- Proficiency in using Opera PMS or similar hotel management software is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to remain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling guest information, reservations, and payments.
- Basic knowledge of hotel operations, including check-in/out procedures, room allocations, and night audit processes.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (11pm to 7am) and adapt to changing guest demands.
- Strong commitment to maintaining guest privacy and upholding hotel standards.

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£24,430.00 per year
