Develops and implements procurement strategies considering BCP, risk & cost down activity for all mid-level spend (B Suppliers) within the directs categories to include raw materials, packaging and service contracts, in accordance with the company’s procurement policy.
- Takes a lead role in supporting York House functions procurement requirements specifically to include Supply Chain & Amsterdam re-sale spend logistics and warehousing providers.
- Takes a lead role in the performance appraisals and subsequent performance development of the direct supply base to include auditing and approving suppliers.
- Undertakes an SME role within D365 to help drive improvements across all procurement related activities. Train other members of the department in the system.
- Performs daily reviews of MRP stock orders for raw materials & packaging to ensure continued operation of the PTFE & ETFE plant. Plans and adjusts for any future requirements as required.
- Manage and develop commercial supplier relationships in order to create a sustainable supply base that delivers improvement in performance and value for money in accordance with the company’s procurement policy.
- Supports the purchase & logistics planning associated with Global R22 Procurement.

Knowledge Requirement
- Detailed knowledge of processes within the purchasing department to include: purchase requisitions, RFQs, order raising, order processing, expediting and invoice processing
- Knowledge of the use of MS Office and other web-based software (Maximo / D365)
- Extensive knowledge of commodities & commodity management
- Sound understanding of terms & conditions.
- CIPS Level 5/6
- Detailed understanding of import and export regulations and requirements to support a global supply base.

Skill Requirement
- Ability to prioritise and resolve issues that have the potential to shut the plant down.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- User of MS Office and ideally proficient in MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s).
- Ability to network and build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- To be flexible, self-motivated, and hardworking with the ability to prioritise and
- work accurately under pressure ensuring a continued attention to detail.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Works well under own initiative and as part of a team, supporting colleagues.

Experience
- Experience of purchasing and associated processes.
- Able to prioritise emergent work requirements on a case-by-case basis.
