This is an excellent opportunity that has arisen for a compassionate and kind individual to assist a bright and polite gentleman in his 30s who has a significant physical disability and is reliant on a wheelchair for his independence.

The schedule for this role is flexible where possible and requires 10 hours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime will be available as necessary with adequate notice.

It is an excellent occasion to work during nursery and school hours, making it an ideal mother-friendly occasion that allows for a flexible work-life balance to manage childcare responsibilities while also enjoying a rewarding role.

You will assist the service user with light household tasks, daily activities, running errands, and visiting exciting outings of his choice. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in providing all aspects of personal care.

The duties will be carried out in a quiet, clean, and safe home environment where the service user lives with his mother. You will work separately from his main carer, who provides her support on separate occasions.

Applicants must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid, clean UK driving licence to operate the vehicle, covered by the employer's insurance policy.

We are looking for individuals who possess care, patience, courtesy, honesty, flexibility, alertness, consistency, common sense, dedication, reliability, and punctuality.

To maintain a consistent working connection, it is crucial to have these characteristics to provide the best effective support.

You will support the service user to access daily outings to a variety of attractions, seaside resorts, park walks, museums, aquariums, garden centres, cafes and other places of interest.

The necessary training will be provided by the employer and paid for. If required, applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check, and the cost will be paid for.

To apply, applicants must reside in Hyndburn, Blackburn, and Rossendale, or within a 12-mile radius of the service user's property located in Accrington.
