**The purpose of your role**

Police Now is seeking a temporary Academy Coordinator to work as part of the Programme Team to support in the delivery of the National Graduate Leadership Programme (NGLP) Academy.

This is a unique opportunity to further develop our programmes in order that they genuinely deliver the highest quality of leadership development and enable participants to have a real impact in our communities. This role is essential in supporting the organisational priority to deliver an outstanding academy, with the post holder needing to be prepared to take on any task, large or small, and deliver to brief.

This role will include taking on responsibility for elements of the end-to-end project support, event running and operational delivery of Police Now’s ninth National Graduate Leadership Programme Academy. Regular travel to Bedfordshire area to academy location is essential.

This role will provide the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of the initial training and leadership development of Police Now’s NGLP participants. Core to success in the role will be the ability to develop and introduce innovative elements to the academy and deliver on even the smallest of details.

**Key responsibilities**
- Be the owner of many tasks, doing everything you can to make the Academy an amazing participant experience. It might be doing a coffee run for our Syndicate Leads or leading the delivery of our searches day - the tasks are wide ranging but all add up to an amazing academy.
- Take ownership and effectively deliver numerous work strands, workstreams and tasks against project deadlines for the Police Now’s NGLP Academy, to the highest standard.
- Take ownership of elements of academy administration e.g. Managing travel requests, sending communications.
- Work closely with the NGLP Officer and Coordinators with the management and administration of internal and external communication channels, including participant communications, Police Now online platforms and staff communications.
- Take responsibility for processing invoices, credit card reconciliation and expenses.
- Make all travel and on/offsite accommodation arrangements for participants and Syndicate Leads (seconded police officers) as required.
- Manage the sourcing, delivery and distribution of necessary equipment and resources e.g. Preparing event printed materials, participant uniform.
- Provide administrative support to the NGLP team, including but not limited to managing the inboxes, preparing documentation, record keeping, booking and taking minutes for meetings as required.
- Provide operational events and academy support both on site and remotely during delivery periods as required.

- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and flexibility, being able to work comfortably within challenging timescales, shifting priorities and managing ambiguity.
- Willing to get stuck in and take on a variety of tasks as required
- Lots of energy and enthusiasm, to see you through when activity spikes at various points during the academy.
- Recent experience of supporting complex projects or events.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and administrative skills with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
