**Job Description - Warehouse Operative x1 ( Nights )**

**Job Title**: Warehouse Operative

**Reports To**:Warehouse Team Leader

**The shift patterns is as follows**:
Nights - Tuesday to Friday 18:00pm - 06:00am

**Job Purpose**
- To work as part of a team and responsible for picking and packing of goods.**Duties and Responsibilities - Production/Packing**
- Accurate and on time picking / packing of products.- Ensure onward delivery of products are delivered on time to their relevant destination.- Report daily shortages and play an integral part in improvement initiatives.- Good team working skills.- Use own initiative.- Excellent communication skills.**Training**:Training in all aspects of the Warehouse department will be given.

**Personal Health & Safety Awareness All employees are required to**:

- Take reasonable care of yourself and others who may be effected by your acts or omissions with regard to Health & Safety.- Cooperate with our client, in all Health & Safety matters, policies and procedures etc. to enable our client to comply with its own Health & Safety duties.- Use any machinery, equipment, dangerous substances, transport equipment, means of production or safety device in accordance with Health& Safety training and instruction.- Inform our client of any work situation which may represent a serious and immediate danger to Health & Safety.- Inform client of any short comings in the protection arrangements for Health & Safety.- Ensure that all safety equipment is used and maintained in the correct way and any issues reported to the Technical & Quality Manager.**Housekeeping**
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the department.- The workplace must be kept neat and tidy at all times and all waste material or product dealt with, as directed, in a prompt manner.**Discipline**
- Ensure that you are aware of and comply with all Company regulations, as contained in the Employee Handbook, Work Instructions and other control documentation.- Maintain acceptable standards of behaviour, attendance, time-keeping, etc., as detailed in the Employee Handbook and other control documentation.**Communications**
- Ensure that communications are maintained at the highest possible level, keeping the management team informed of impending situations which could develop into more serious problems.- Comply with the Company’s Team Briefing process.**General & Other Duties**
- The Operative may, from time to time, be required to carry out other duties, as directed by the Department Manager.- Ensure compliance with the company’s Equal Opportunity Policy.- Any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with your training and experience.- The Administrator may, from time to time, be required to carry out other duties, as directed by the Department Manager.**Please note that this list is not exhaustive and you may be required by your Line Manager to take on additional responsibilities/ad hoc duties as and when required.**

**It is desirable but not essential that you hold a current counterbalance FLT licence.**

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour / 48 hours per week
