Due to our ever growing company, we are looking for someone who is relaible, entusiastic and eager to learn to join our work force We are an electric motor repair company that is based in Caerphilly that repairs both a/c and d/c motors along with gearboxes and pumps and we also have both welding and machining capabilities at our workshop We carry out commercial and domestic installations and also provide a troubleshooting service. We have a lifting capacity of 2 tons and we have a 1m Sq dipping tank and a 1m Sq stove so can rewind motor stators of up to 250kw (approx) We have ark welding facilities and also machine shop facilities with both lathe and milling capabilities. We also supply new motors and pump both 1ph and 3ph and both supply new gearboxes and can also repair your old gearbox

**Job description**
- Testing of AC/DC electrical motors
- Correct use of burnout techniques
- Detailing of AC/DC motor windings and rewinding
- Re-connection of windings. (AC & DC).
- Voltage / frequency changes.
- Correct use of tools and test equipment.
- Dismantle, rewind, reassemble and test AC/DC motors and associated equipment including pumps, gearboxes and fans
- Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, including single-phase, three-phase, dc fields, armatures, wound stators
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including winding machines, test panels, surge testers, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, dip tanks and various hand held power and non-power tools.
- Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment and document test results.
- Dismantling pumps for repair
- Reassembling and building pumps and mechanical equipment
- Dismantling fans for repair
- Reassembling and building fans and mechanical equipment
- Fault diagnosis and fault-finding
- Electrical testing of pumps, fans and equipment
- Site visits where appropriate

**Requirements**:

- Appropriate Mechanical and/or electrical qualification
- Experience in motor, gearbox, pump and fan repairs
- Fork Lift License preferable, not essential

JOB POSITION

Full time with immediate start

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
