Midday Supervisor

We are looking to appoint a **Midday Supervisor** to join our team at **Red Oak Primary School**

**Main Purpose**

Under the direction of the Senior Midday Supervisor and Business Manager, the role of the Midday Supervisor is a varied role that is immensely rewarding and fun. The fundamental part of the post will be to ensure the children have the best learning environment for them to succeed and enjoy learning in.

All duties will be carried out within recognised procedures or guidelines and the Senior Midday Supervisor will be available for support and guidance.

There is no requirement to supervise others, but you may be asked to demonstrate tasks to new colleagues.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Direct supervision of pupils throughout the midday break, i.e. from the end of morning school until the start of the afternoon session
- Oversee all areas where pupils gather during the lunch break, these may include dining areas, cloakrooms, classrooms, playing field, etc, as appropriate
- Maintain an acceptable standard of conduct and safety as laid down in the school policies, by dealing with any problem, minor injuries and reporting breaches of discipline to an appropriate member of staff
- Assist with the induction training of any new midday supervisory assistants or supply assistants when necessary
- Offer care and support to all pupils as required including helping to resolve minor disagreements.
- Offer appropriate TLC and reassurance following minor incidents and providing support and signposting to the Mental Health Worker if required.
- Any other related duties as directed by the line manager/headteacher
