**Integrated Support Service - Choices Programme Safety Worker**

**Job Purpose**:

- To undertake safety focused support work with the partners and ex
- partners of those who attend the Choices domestic violence perpetrator programme (DVPP) which is a programme of behaviour change. To take a role in the ongoing development of this service and its integration with a Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme._

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To ensure that the partners of those who have been referred to the Choices programme are contacted andoffered support and information about the process and details of the programme and other sources ofsupport and advice available to them.
- To provide telephone support, advice, and referrals to other agencies, to the (ex-) partners of those on the Choices DVPP.
- To conduct face-to-face support, advice and safety planning sessions with partners and ex partners of those engaged with the Choices programme.
- To provide advocacy on behalf of service users with external agencies where appropriate.
- To liaise with other agencies as appropriate, attending core group and case conferences as required.
- To prepare reports for other agencies in line with the programme’s confidentiality policy
- To take part in casework and risk review meetings with other team workers about an individual’s participationand issues from work with supported partners and ex’s, in order to ensure that women and children's safetyremains at the forefront of the work.
- To implement actions agreed in risk review discussions.
- Supporting individuals to keep talking to their ex partner, it will help children to maintain contact.
- Support with new relationships and support to access ‘Clare’s Law’.
- Support through the court system including criminal courts and family courts where appropriate.
- Assist with safety planning for individuals supported by the ISS.
- Link with discussions between criminal and civil justice agencies, community members and victims to close gaps and improve the community’s response to domestic abuse.
- Liaise regularly with case accountable Social Workers in pre-arranged case review meetings regarding individual service user.
- Support and facilitate the health and well-being side of the programme.
- To assist in presentations or workshops about the work.
- To assist in representing the Choices programme as required at meetings, seminars and conferences.
- To attend clinical / practice supervision as directed by the Choices programme manager.
- To provide day
- to -day support, advice and back up to other workers and /or volunteers within the organisation where appropriate or required.
- To maintain detailed records of all work undertaken in line with the organisations case management policy and prepare reports as required.
- To maintain up to date information on legal, housing and welfare issues relevant to domestic violence and abuse.

You will be required to take part on the on-call rota as a back-up worker on a rota basis.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,412.00-£23,118.00 per year
