The Department of Language and Linguistic Science is looking to appoint a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) specialising in theoretical and comparative syntax, complementing the department’s strengths in morphology, semantics, typology, language variation and language change and interfacing with these areas. The department additionally has interests in computational and experimental approaches and language acquisition.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**

You will hold a PhD in Linguistics with a specialisation in syntax and/or its interfaces, together with the ability to deliver teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to publish high quality outputs in appropriate venues. The ability to work constructively and flexibly with colleagues is essential, as are good organisational and communication skills.
