This impressive, high achieving Independent School is looking for a History Teacher who is able to teach to GCSE and A-Level and is available to start in January 2023

You must be willing to develop present aspects of the curriculum and to further enhance the faculty’s standing. You will have a genuine enthusiasm for History and have the desire to stretch and support all students through careful lesson preparation. TheHistory faculty has an outstanding academic record at GCSE, A-level and highly competitive university entrance. The teaching facilities are among the finest available in any school in the country at this time and the faculty is generously resourced.

**Key Duties as a History Teacher:
- Analyzing all prescribed texts and resources to develop quality lesson plans and curricula.
- Collaborating with fellow teachers and learning from their methods, teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques.
- Delivering engaging History lessons on different time periods, movements, and other historical events and figures.
- Grading exams, tests, quizzes, assignments, and presentations, and contacting parents and other faculty members to discuss concerns and schedule interventions.
- Keeping abreast of current events/movements and using these themes to keep historical content relevant.
- Ensuring all curriculum, and school, and state requirements are met.

**Requirements**:

- Experience and Qualifications required for this History Teacher position
- Degree in History OR other transferrable
- PGCE or QTS
